Why do some datasets don't have any tags assigned to them?

I’m using the tags to categorize and filter datasets in my application. Most datasets have useful tags like list.sanction, list.pep,target.global, issuer.west, etc., which help me understand the type and scope of each dataset. However, I’ve found that some datasets don’t have any tags associated with them.

Is this intentional, or are these datasets missing tags that should be added?
Are there specific criteria that determine which datasets receive tags?

Hey! Dataset tags are a new feature that we’re slowly rolling out (they’re eventually meant to replace dataset collections with a more venn diagram-shaped scope selection mechanism). We just haven’t properly applied them to all datasets yet, and we also still have to expose the relevant filters on our dataset listings and in the matching API. We’ll push this feature to completion once we release one other ongoing stream of work!
