Hey all! A little note to say that we’ve just published yente 5.0 , the latest version of our screening appliance. The new version contains many improvements (listed in the release notes), but I want to highlight two:
- We’ve build a new matching system,
logic-v2, which will improve the API’s name matching precision. For those interested, there’s a detailed blog post about what we’ve built. - The application now also has a new locking mechanisms, making sure that multiple processes will never attempt to concurrently update the data in the system. This has been a recurring source of issues in some deployment contexts.
We’re keen to hear any feedback from people about the new release and the new matching system! Post here, or send your thoughts to support@opensanctions.org ![]()

For 5.1, we hope to do some additional work on deployment in AWS, where OpenSearch Serverless has been giving us some compatibility grief…
